우리 둘이 (이별이란 걸... Sequel)

우리 둘이
(이별이란 걸... Sequel)

          We used to eat together…
We used to watch film together…
          We used to walk together…
A season elapsed since they’re broke up. Everything passed just like that. Ye In and Jun Hoe are still together, but not with Ha Neul and Jung Kook. The cold breeze starts to blow. Autumn is here…
“Han, what are you doing after school?” asked Ye In. Jun Hoe tailing behind her. The bell rang several minutes ago.
“Nothing, I’ll go home immediately. Have a nice day.” Ha Neul packed her bag and walking outside.
“Hm… Jun, don’t you think Han become a not fun person after broke up with Jung Kook?” asked Ye In. Jun Hoe nods.
“I agree with you. Jung Kook becomes a not fun person too.” said Jun Hoe. Then, Jung Kook passes them without looking.

          Now, I eat alone…
          Watch film alone…
          And walk alone…
There’s no different about their daily activities. It’s same path to the school every day, same path to the home every day. The memories keep appears while Ha Neul walks through the same path with Jung Kook, who is walking slower than her. However, the scenery is too beautiful to being passed by. Unfortunately, they’re not walk side by side. There’s no laughter, no holding hand…
          “Today’s weather is so nice!!”
“Spring is here. You must like it, right?” asked Jung Kook.
“Yeah, the flowers bloom, the weather is warm.” Ha Neul answered happily. Jung Kook spotted the bunch of flowers and picked one among.
“Wow, it’s so beautiful…” Ha Neul received Jung Kook’s flower.
“Do you like flower?” asked Ha Neul.
          “Not really…”
“Why?! They’re so beautiful!!!” said Ha Neul, little bit upset. Jung Kook saw it and laughed.
“Why should I like them when I have the most beautiful flower?” asked Jung Kook.
“What do you mean?” asked Ha Neul. She didn’t get it.
“I have you already, so why should I like them? Let’s go, we should get going!!!” Jung Kook grabbed Ha Neul’s hand and walked quicker. He didn’t saw Ha Neul’s red cheeks.
Ha Neul smiles. Well, it was 6 months ago. What a pity that she doesn’t remember how is they broke up 2 months ago…
Ha Neul walks slower. It was summer… There was no twinkling star… No fireworks… No water attraction… Buzzed sounds in her ear… A sweated palm… A sweet scented…
The cold breeze with a little sweet scent, just like that day, is passes Ha Neul. When she is realized, Jung Kook is walks in front of her so far already.
          I remember it…
^_^
“Why are you looks so uneasy?” asked Ji Min, when Ha Neul was walks back to front in living room.
“Cookie didn’t pick his phone. I phoned him for several times already.” said Ha Neul. Her palms are sweated. Her phone is vibrated. It was calling from Jung Kook’s brother. But her phone is slid from her palm and fell down.
“Hey, what are you doing?” asked Ji Min flustered. His sister looked so worried.
“Are you okay?” asked Ji Min. Ha Neul nodded her head and slid the green button.
          “Hello?”
          “…”
          “Really? It is relief…”
          “…”
“I’ll go there. Could i?” asked Ha Neul. When the connection was over, Ha Neul asked Ji Min to takes her to Jung Kook’s house.
          “Jung Kook is home.”
Ji Min took her to Jung Kook’s house.
“I’ll wait here. Take your time.” Ha Neul nodded. She walked alone to Jung Kook’s house which is just 10 meters away from Ji Min’s car. She called Jung Kook’s brother and told him that Ha Neul is waiting for Jung Kook at the playground. She was on the swing when Jung Kook approached her with a messy appearance. Ha Neul stood up and grabbed Jung Kook’s wrist, but Jung Kook pushed her hand away.
“Don’t you want to say something?” asked Jung Kook with tired voice. But Ha Neul didn’t open her mouth, so Jung Kook turned around.
“Jeon Jung Kook.” Jung Kook stopped and turned around.
“Do you know what time it is? I’ve been calling you all night.”
“You did?” asked Jung Kook once again, still with tired voice. He put out his phone and showed to Ha Neul.
“It might have been turned off.”
“Were you too tired to even text back?” asked Ha Neul. Her voice was raised.
“I don’t know. I didn’t come here just to hear your nags…” Jung Kook scraped the ground with his Converse’s tip, the shoes from Ha Neul.
“What’s wrong with you? Heard you even not told your brother about where you have been.”
“Let’s not do this now, please.” asked Jung Kook.
“You shouldn’t do this. At least, tell your brother. Do you know how worried he was about you? I’m worried about you too…”
“Enough! I said enough!!” Jung Kook kicked off the stone on the ground, hit the sliding.
“What was that?” Ha Neul was very surprised.
“Are you my Mom? Teacher? Don’t tell me what to do!!”
“Do you think it’s for me? It’s all for you!” Ha Neul yelled.
“I’m sick of this too!! Stop acting like you are the only one who grown up!!”
“…you’re even younger than me…” Jung Kook turned around and walking away.
          The next day…
Ha Neul waited for Jung Kook at the path, where is she always waiting for him to walk together to the school.
“Sorry about last time…” said Jung Kook.
          “Me too…”
“You’re good now? Let’s walk to the school.” They were walk together.

I stopped walking and stayed there, hoping he would look back, just like usual. But, he just went on walking. Left me and left the cold breeze with a little of his sweet scent. I was standing there quietly to watch him going his way. I knew it then. I wasn’t okay. I was just giving it up.
Then Jung Kook realized that Ha Neul wasn’t behind him. He turned around and saw Ha Neul who is still there. But the gap was too far.
We were over already…
^_^

이별이란 걸...

이별이란 걸...

It’s summer. There’s no firework, and no twinkling stars at the night sky that will accompany her to the dreamland every night. Seem like every ice in her glass aren’t fresh enough to lift her mood up. It’s just a plain and hot summer for her.
“Han?” Ji Min opened Ha Neul’s room. The room are completely mess, right now. Papers are scattered on the floor. The curtain looks shabby, swaying on one side. The fan is buzzing quietly at the corner. He can see his sister’s back view. She is busy opening her drawers looking for something.
“Han? What are you doing?” asked Ji Min. He comes closer.
“Get out from my way!!” Ha Neul pushes Ji Min’s hand away which disturbs her.
“Hey? What’s wrong with you??” asked Ji Min flustered. Ha Neul stops her activity. She wipes her sweat on his forehead and sighs.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean it. So, can you out from my room, please?” asked Ha Neul. Ji Min follows Ha Neul’s request. Maybe she needs to be alone. It just 2 days since she’s broke up with Jung Kook.
“I’m in living room. If you need me, I’ll be there.”
^_^
From a big white bear doll, an accessories, pictures, a journal, up to red rose on her table. She puts it all in one big box. She removes the pictures one by one on the wall and puts it in the box too.
“Where are you going?” asked Ji Min who sits on the sofa in front of television.
“Burning it up.” said her shortly.
“Hey, hey, hold on girl. Is it gifts from Cookie?” asked Ji Min. Well, he is not her ‘Cookie’ anymore. Something has taken ‘Cookie’ away from her.
“He’s not my boyfriend anymore. What are you talking about?” asked Ha Neul. Yeah, he is just Jeon Jung Kook. He’s just a stranger for Ha Neul from now on.
“Hold on!! Ha Neul, what’s happen with you? I know you’re broke up with Cookie recently. But, what is this? Han who’s I know, she is a good and gentle girl. What is this behavior?” asked Ji Min.
“Sorry boy, the ‘Good and gentle Han’ is gone already since 2 days ago…” Ha Neul walks passed.
“Han are you sure about it?” asked Ji Min. He is tailing Ha Neul to the yard.
“What do you mean? Of course I’m sure about it. What’s your problem??” asked Ha Neul. She’s staring at Ji Min.
“No, I mean… It’s still 2 days. Can you wait a little longer?”
“Waiting for what? Sooner or later, I’ll burn it anyway.” Ha Neul scrape a match up. Ji Min blows it up.
“What’s your problem??!!” Ha Neul shouts out load. Ji Min takes the match from Ha Neul’s hand.
“I’ll take the match. If you want to burn it up, you must face me.” Ji Min takes the match from Ha Neul’s hand and puts it on his pocket and walks inside.
“Park Ji Min!!!! Please stop it. It’s my stuff, so it’s up to me!!!” But Ji Min seems not listening her.
“Ugh! That boy…” Ha Neul looking at her stuff. Little by little, there is regret.
“What a cute bear…”
“What a beautiful rose…”
“What a good looking pictures…”
“What a lovely accessories…” And she wants to burn it all up…
She takes a journal from the box.
2014, September 1st
Today is Cookie’s birthday. We rode a Ferris Wheels in the Lotte World…
I don’t know Ha Neul is such a coward little girl, ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Cookie, I’m not a little girl, okay?
Yes, you are!!
2014, November 19th
        What will we do today?
Han, your brother is not allowed you to go outside today…
        So, let’s run away!!!
        Are you crazy???
Your brother will kill me sooner or later!!!
2014, December 25th
        It’s snowfall outside.
Ji Min is being frustrating again!!
Calm down, we can still plays here.
But the snow are falling outside, I want to go outside!!
Okay, okay, I’ll try to talk to your brother…
        Really??!! Yay! I love you!!!!
Ha Neul smiles. It’s just a few months ago. They never wrote a journal again since last Christmas. They were too busy. Yes, busy to quarreling each other every day.
“Fool boy…” Ha Neul mumbled to herself. It’s still 2 days, but she is forget how was they broke up.
          “It’s must good to you…”
“We never greet each other even we meet in the street. You become a stranger…”
“You fool… It’s not suite you. You must be a warm people. Not cold as the days before…”
Her memory about that day is faded away. Well, it’s not important to think about it right now. She can’t do anything beside to let him go. She can’t help but to smiling at every picture. Then she is remembering that there is a lighter in her right pocket.
“Sorry… Cookie…” Ha Neul enflame the lighter and burn the corner of the picture. It keeps larger and larger. Ha Neul drop it in on the box, burning everything in there. And at the same time a big and beautiful firework is being launched to the sky, her first summer firework in this year.
And… all of it was gone just like the specks of firework dust…

For You (봄, 사랑, 벚꽃 말고 sequel)

For You
(, 사랑, 벚꽃 말고 sequel)

She was rejected Hiroshi’s offer to accompany her to the place where is Jung Kook and her promised yesterday. Today is Sunday. The schools are closed, so, Jung Kook and Ha Neul were decided to go on date today.
“I just go to your school just like yesterday.” said Ha Neul. Actually, she is not sure about to take a train by herself, but she won’t bother Hiroshi who looks very busy today. And finally, she is goes out alone, without Hiroshi, Michiko, Aunt Mina or Uncle Jung. Yeah, alone, just by herself, in this country which is totally new for her. She goes 2 hours earlier than their promise, because she know that she needs a lot of time to get there, although the distance from Uncle Jung’s house and their promised place just around 10 km…
She was seen Hiroshi when he is buy the tickets yesterday. He just clicked few buttons and then the tickets were sliding out. But what is all this weird character?! It’s not just hiragana and katakana, but there’s a kanji too!!
Ha Neul opens her dictionary. While the ticket-machine in her right side is already used by around 30 persons, since 20 minutes ago, she is still struggles with the machine in front of her and the dictionary in her hand. After another 20 minutes passed, she got the ticket.
Hiroshi has told her that she have to get off at the 2nd station. She does it easily, and runs so fast to Higashi’s front gate. But Jung Kook is already there.
“Sorry, did you wait so long??” asked Ha Neul. She is still tries to catches her breath.
“No. Are you run from the station?” asked Jung Kook. Ha Neul nods her head. She doesn’t have any energy to open her mouth.
“You shouldn’t do that. Where is Hiroshi?” asked Jung Kook when he isn’t seeing Hiroshi behind Ha Neul’s back.
          “… I… went here… by… myself…”
“Really?!” Jung Kook pushes Ha Neul down on the bench.
“Yeah… you know it’s so difficult to me to buy a ticket. It was takes 40 minutes alone.” said Ha Neul. Jung Kook surprised.
“I think it just took a minute to buy them…”
“But, I can’t read the characters after all!!” Jung Kook laughs when he heard Ha Neul’s replied.
“We just studied hiragana and katakana at school…” Ha Neul mumbled.
“It’s okay. You did a good job.” Jung Kook strokes Ha Neul’s hair.
“Ah yeah… how long did you were wait for me?” asked Ha Neul.
“Well… maybe… an hour?”
“What!!! Sorry!”
^_^
It’s true. It just took a minute to buy 2 tickets. Meanwhile she used 40 minutes just to buy a ticket. At this time, Ha Neul admits that Jung Kook’s Japanese is better than her. At least Jung Kook looks dependable. Well, she just let Jung Kook guide her this time.
“Look. This is easy, right?” asked Jung Kook when the tickets are sliding down. Ha Neul just laughs plainly.
“Yeah, it’s easy for you. You can read all of these, but I’m not!”
After bought the tickets, they ride the train up.
“Well, where will we go?” asked Ha Neul.
^_^
They enjoyed their date. They went to Akihabara, Ginza, Ometesando, Ebisu and Kichijoji.
“Actually, we have to visit here at summer…” said Jung Kook when they walking at Kichijoji.
“But we don’t have a time until summer. We have to back in a week.”
“It’s okay. It’s beautiful although this is autumn.” Ha Neul console her disappointed boyfriend.
They arrived at Inokashira Park’s pond.
“You know, they said that couples who take a swan boat ride together in Inokashira Park's pond are doomed to break up.” said Jung Kook.
“Do you believe it?” asked Ha Neul.
“Well, of course I don’t. But although it is a mythology, I won’t ride it with you. Well I won’t break up with you…”
“Stop it. You are curling my fingers, because of your cheesy words!!!”
“Okay, okay.” Jung Kook glances at his wristwatch.
“We have to book the tickets now.”
“Oh~~~ I want to stay at Japan longer~~~”
^_^
“We have to go back to South Korean 2 days later…” said Ha Neul. They have booked 2 tickets several days ago.
“You look sad. Why?” asked Jung Kook.
“Well, Japan is beautiful. I don’t have much opportunity to explore Japan…” Ha Neul sullen.
“You must come here once again with Ji Min next time…”
“Well, Ji Min is difficult person to be persuaded…”

“You didn’t visits my dorm yet, right?” asked Jung Kook. Ha Neul shakes her head.
“Yeah, let me take you there.” Jung Kook’s dorm is not far from Higashi. They don’t have to take the train.
“I like it when spring. Cherry blossoms are everywhere.”
“Unfortunately this is autumn right now…”
“It’s okay, momiji leaves aren’t bad.”
Just take 10 minutes for walking from Higashi to Jung Kook’s dorm.
          “We’re arrived.”
“I lived at 6th floor with 2 other students. I’ll introduce you to them.” They take a lift to 6th floor.
“I’m home.” Jung Kook takes off his shoes.
“Is that Jung Kook?” a boy answered from inside.
“Wow Akira-kun, you ate 5 cups of ramen again!” Jung Kook shouts out loud when he sees the cups of ramen everywhere.
“Well, Akai-kun didn’t cook today… I was starving.” Akira made an excuse.
“Okay, I’ll cook tomorrow for the last time. By the way, where is Akai-kun?” asked Jung Kook.
          “He’s at his room.”
“Can you go and call him. I bring someone today…” said Jung Kook.
          “Who’s that?” asked Akira.
          “…Hm…a girl…”
“Jung Kook, why didn’t you tell me, before?! Dorm is so messy!!!” Akira picks the cups up and cleaning the dorm for nothing.
“I’ll call Akai-kun and make a cup of tea for her. By the way, did she have a Japanese tea before?” asked Akira.
“That’s good idea. She didn’t taste it before. Han, come in.”
While Akira calls Akai and makes a cup of tea for Ha Neul, Jung Kook put his cloak on his room. Ha Neul looking around. Akira was right. The dorm is messy. Maybe she can help a bit to organized the dorm for the next time.
“Well, Han. This is Tsujimoto Akira and Karuizawa Akai. They are my dorm-mates. And Akira-kun, Akai-kun, this is my friend, Park Ha Neul.” Jung Kook introduced them. Tsujimoto Akira is a cute-looking boy. He is shorter than Jung Kook. His hair is light reddish-brown color. Ha Neul likes his hair. Karuizawa Akai is a good-looking boy. He is taller than Jung Kook. He has a black colored hair. They are just like boys who are came out from manga.
“…Your friend? I think she is your girlfriend.” said Akai.
          “Okay, she is my girlfriend.”
“How lucky are you. You have such pretty and cute girlfriend.” Akira smiles at Ha Neul.
“Don’t flirt, please! You have Youka-chan already.” Jung Kook warned.
          “I didn’t flirt at her!!!”
“Look, I’m the one who’s single here, so stop it!!” said Akai.
“Well, you have to propose to Mitsuko-chan sooner or later.”
“What do you say!!!!” Oh, boys talk. Ha Neul would never know about their world. No matter how hard she tries to know about it.
“Em… Miss Ha Neul, you didn’t taste Japanese tea yet, right?” asked Akai. Ha Neul shakes her head.
“Taste it. You know, Jung Kook almost spitted it out at the first.” said Akira.
“Taste it, and let me tell you one more time. It’s so bitter.” said Jung Kook. Ha Neul take a sip. The 3 of them observe her. But her expression didn’t change.
          “…”
          “Not bad.”
“What!!!!!!!” The 3 of them shouted together.
“Okay Han, I admitted that you’re good at holding in something like this…”
They’re playing together at the dorm.
“Don’t you think Miss Ha Neul is felt shy around us?” asked Akai. Well, he’s wrong. She is lived with Ji Min around 13 years just two of them. Jung Kook goes to Ha Neul house often too. And it makes her not shy at all.
“Well, I’ll call Youka-chan.” Akira wants to calls his girlfriend, but Jung Kook holds him.
“You don’t have to. By the way, we’ll leave in 10 minutes.”
“But Jung Kook. It's 7 p.m. Where will you take her?” asked Akira.
          “Well, there’s one place remaining…”

Ha Neul lift her head. The momiji leaves are beautiful, really. She wants to stay longer. Aunt Mika is good at cooking, so she always makes a food for Ha Neul whenever Ha Neul is hungry. Uncle Jung has a beautiful garden. Ha Neul likes to stay at the garden until nightfall. Hiroshi is kind boy. He likes to takes Ha Neul wherever Ha Neul wants. Michiko is cute little girl. Ha Neul likes her very much. Akai and Akira are good friends. But unfortunately, Ha Neul must back the day after tomorrow…
“Where will we go?” asked Ha Neul.
“You’ll know later. I bet you must be like it.”
They bought the train tickets, precisely Jung Kook who’s bought it.
“Do you want to hear something?” asked Jung Kook when they’re sitting on the train.
          “What?”
“You know, Tokyo is big. But many Tokyo couples live at great distances from each other. They often meet at train hubs such as Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Tokyoites may work late and trains stop running relatively early. It's practical to meet where you can both catch a train home.” Jung Kook explained. Ha Neul hear him seriously.
          “That’s romantic.”
“When couples have more time, such as Sunday afternoons, they head for Tokyo's many popular date spots. And we have visited them already.”
“Really?! Wow, amazing!! How did you know about such things?” asked Ha Neul.
“Actually, Akira told me before we went on dates…”
“When you explained all of it, you look like a tour’s guide. So, where will we go after this, Mr.?” asked Ha Neul.
“Well, you know it when you arrived.”

“Here we are. We arrived at Odaiba. Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay that looks as if it was constructed specifically for dating. It has a great view of Tokyo. Odaiba's beach boardwalk is one of the city's only accessible waterfronts. Odaiba is packed with restaurants, shopping, game centers, movie theaters and attractions. Exactly the type of things young Tokyo couples like to do on a date.” Jung Kook explained.
“Turn around girl, and you’ll see something amazing.” asked Jung Kook.
“Wow!!! It’s Ferris Wheels!!!!”
“We’ll ride it together, while we’re here…”
“Really?! Let’s go!!!” Ha Neul grabbed Jung Kook and drags him along excitedly.

“Wow, it’s high!!”
“It’s 115 meter tall Ferris Wheels. You can watch a fireworks when summer up here. I have ridden this with Akira and Akai 2 times, when we have holidays. Although they’re Tokyoites, they’re still excited when we rode it.”
“It must be weird when the other are saw you three took the same wheel.” said Ha Neul.
“Well, it not weird again, because I riding it with my girlfriend now…”
“Okay, okay, you win. Jun Hoe and Ye In must be happy if they’re riding this together…”
“What do you said?”
“Oh right. I didn’t say to you. Ye In and Jun Hoe are in special relationship.”
“Really?! Should we buy them a souvenir too? Like ours.”
“That’s a good idea!”
After they came down from Ferris Wheels, they’re going eat and buy a souvenir for Ji Min, Ye In, Jun Hoe and others.
“We have to home.” Jung Kook had said that Japan’s trains stop running relatively early. So they have to catch the last train or they should go home by taxi that will expend their money.
^_^
Aunt Mika, Uncle Jung, Hiroshi, Michiko, Akai and Akira take Jung Kook and Ha Neul to the airport.
“Okay, say good bye to Hana-chan.” said Aunt Mika to Michiko. Well, Michiko called Ha Neul as Hana.
“You have to come back here with your brother okay? I didn’t meet him before.” said Michiko. Ha Neul nods.
“Jung Kook, you have our email address already. Don’t forget to send an email, at least one email/week.” Akira reminded him.
          “Okay.”
A flight to Incheon has been announced. They have to go.
“Well, see them for the last time before we go.” said Jung Kook. Ha Neul turns her head and waves her hand.
          “See you later!!!”
          “We have to go now.”
10 days in Japan. They have created new memories. They have new friends and new family. By the way, it’s time to say good bye…
          Good bye… Japan…
^_^
